TEACHER TRAINING
THE NATURE OF YOGA
Teacher Training
A year-long yoga teacher training rooted in the land, the seasons, and the living world.
There is a particular kind of yoga teacher the world needs right now. A teacher in the oldest sense of the word. Someone who holds the door open rather than leading the way through it, and someone who has done the gradual work of becoming genuinely present in the world.
The Nature of Yoga is a year-long, 200-hour teacher training structured around the Wheel of the Year, rooted in the land and seasonal rhythms of the British Isles, and built on a single conviction: that yoga is, at its heart, a practice of noticing and of re-membering our connection to our bodies, to each other, and to the living world around us.
Most teacher trainings teach you what to do with your students. This one teaches you how to be with them. The curriculum covers anatomy and physiology, lesson planning, philosophy, breathwork, pranayama, and business. The training is taught through the lens of the natural world and the turning of the seasons, with an emphasis on the ability to grow community.
This is a Yoga Alliance Professionals accredited training. Nine gatherings on a working smallholding in Somerset. A maximum of ten student-teachers. Beginning October 2027.
